Through the Fire Studios is located in historic downtown Columbia, Pennsylvania. Both Columbia and its sister town across the Susquehanna, Wrightsville, played instrumental roles in days leading up to the Battle of Gettysburg by burning the bridge between them to prevent a Confederate river crossing. Exciting stuff.
Speaking of firing things up…Ttf opened its doors in 2012. Starting with just 2 glass blowers, the studio is now home to multiple artisans of various disciplines including flame workers and painters. In addition to being a working creative space, Through the Fire is also home to a gallery hosting local artists. Installations rotate frequently, so stop in often to see what’s new!
Ttf is open 11a to 6p Tuesday through Friday and 10a to 4p on Saturday.
